A little about me.
What inspired you to become a Support Coordinator? My little (big/GIANT) brother Beau has down syndrome. He is the biggest joy of our family and inspires a LOT of the work I do as a Support Coordinator.
How long have you been working in this space, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I’ve dedicated around 8 years to this field, starting my journey by working with children having psychosocial disabilities in Alice Springs, at the heart of the Northern Territory. My passion for this work blossomed during this time, leading me through various roles, including several years as a support worker.
What types of support services do you specialise in or have experience with?
Support Work, Quality assurance role for a SIL provider and now support Coordinator
What do you believe are the most important qualities for a Support Coordinator to have? Empathy, Understanding, Kindness and a damn good understanding of NDIS!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Any hobbies or interests you’d like to share?
Reading, Gardening, Traveling! Spending time with my family in the backyard soaking up the sunrays
